Metal Ox Chinese Astrology

5 feng shui ways to gain success today

It's a pretty special time in the feng shui calendar as today's Metal Ox sign aligns with this month's Rooster and our annual Snake sign to make an extremely strong metal influence.
This affects us all on a personal level and could bring great opportunities for wealth, relationships, creativity, power and vibrancy.

As this form of astrology is an extremely complex subject, it is impossible to generalise, but to give an idea how it affects you, see our attribute cycle.

For the odd few, today may seem overwhelming and should you feel this way, just use the earth or water elements to balance. The link above will also tell you how to do this. Similarly, if someone you know appears overly stressed today, send this link to them.

Our feng shui almanac is in a positive mood and here are the top five things to do today.

  1. Travel and visit friends
  2. Hunt or shop for bargains
  3. Pamper or indulge yourself or loved ones
  4. Move home or refurbish
  5. Change your bed or sleeping direction

Conversely, brewing, fermenting or even funeral duties are best postponed until tomorrow at least. Speaking of which, that's also a good day for whole other reasons. Join us tomorrow and we'll tell you why.

Until tomorrow, enjoy every moment of NOW!

Cash Cow collects Coin whilst Catching Chicken of the C!

Huge Rabbit

Among the many talents that today’s Metal Ox has, this level of multitasking may be just too much. Mind you their highly analytical mind, fine attention to detail and excellent planning ability can show others how to easily achieve these goals. Here is how they do it:

A major talent of those born on a Metal Ox day is that they can be highly prosperous or their spouses can be very lucky with money, especially between the ages of 30 – 46 years. Hence, my reference to “Cash Cow” in today's title. You can use our free Chinese horoscope to see if you or your partner has a “monied moo” too!

The remaining title tasks come from the Chinese almanac or book of nature which lists today’s best or most favourable activities. Naturally these include collecting debts and fishing. I almost wrote this as “catching Choona” but decided to ease back into our return by referring to Tuna as the US fish and seafood brand - Chicken of the Sea. “C” was much more in keeping with our captions consecutive collectivity. This doesn’t mean that tomorrow’s title will have mostly D’s though!

Returning to today’s best pursuits which include meditation, buying or making clothes, refurbishing a room or hunting. It advises against making wine, preserves or sauces.

We will return tomorrow on a Water Tiger day.- Metal Ox daily Chinese horoscope posted 13th October 2011

Bull before the storm?

Today is a quiet Metal Ox day, hence adding bull to a famous saying. It is the last day of the Pig month and being in a lull, is good for meditating or honouring ancestors, visiting friends, having a haircut and putting affairs in order.

Tomorrow sees the start of a Water Rat month, which will combine with the Water Dragon year to bring an absolute deluge. It also marks the start of a fifteen day season called “Big Snow” and as we are already experiencing cold temperatures in Europe, we can expect perhaps to see snow and storms over the next couple of weeks. If we add the effects of global warming which somewhat delays these seasons, there is a very good chance of a White Christmas. Cue for a song?

"Highly resourceful and well-liked by others. With great determination and drive, you can easily express yourself and cope well under pressure."

Speaking of Christmas, let’s return to the present, pun intended.  If Metal Ox is part of your horoscope, particularly if it is your day pillar, you are highly resourceful and well-liked by others. With great determination and drive, you can easily express yourself and cope well under pressure which helps you create abundance and prosperity, especially if you were born between January 6 and February 4. Famous celebrities include Orlando Bloom, Jim Carrey, Princess Caroline of Monaco, George Clooney, Billy Ray Cyrus, Caleb Followill, William Hague, Woody Harrelson, Peter Jackson, Nastassja Kinski, Heather Locklear, Kate Middleton, Eddie Murphy, Barack Obama and Meg Ryan.

There’s more, including zodiac compatibility, on this dedicated Metal Ox web page and we will return tomorrow on a raft, no bull!  Until then, enjoy moment of NOW!

Until the cows come home?

Feng Shui astrology - Water Goatfish day horoscope

Today is a Metal Ox day in Chinese astrology and an Even day in the Jian Chu system. Hence the only recommendations made by the Chinese almanac are to meditate and thank your ancestors, or level paths and fix walls and that’s how we arrived at half of today's title. The rest comes from the Ox being the storage or resting place of today's Metal element, which I have taken as the home.

We will return tomorrow on a Water Tiger day.
Until then, enjoy NOW!- Metal Ox daily Chinese horoscope posted 15th June 2011

Winner, winner chicken dinner?

Huge metallic influence delivers gold to some, and lead (Pb) to others, which one is yours?

If you are unfamiliar with today's title, it's a phrase used to convey a positive outcome and as the circumstances need to be exact, you don't know how long I have waited to use it.  I chose it today because it's actually a Metal Ox day, falling in a Snake month and year. The only thing needed to complete the triple alignment, is a…. chicken!

Specifically it's a male chicken, or more formally called a Rooster and if you have one of those in your Chinese astrology chart, you have a huge metal influence. Now, depending on the equilibrium of your Chinese horoscope, today could either be solid gold, or feel like a lead weight round your neck. The former could bring wealth, romance, recognition and promotion, as well as enhanced creativity or energy levels, and the latter can be cured by being near water, and even drinking it will help.

To find out if you have a Rooster in your chart, have a free Chinese horoscope on us. Why not send it to your friends too? As Chinese astrology is specific to the individual, it's impossible to be general and is what gives it a renowned reputation for being so accurate. However, our attribute cycle will tell you whether it's lucky or not.

Having two out of three of the Chinese zodiac group makes it an auspicious day for all regardless of whether you have a Rooster sign. Consequently, the Feng Shui or Chinese almanac recommends meditating or honouring ancestors, asking for blessings, visiting friends, taking a course, travelling, getting married, having an astrology reading, buying or making clothes, seeing a doctor or choosing a treatment, emigrating, refurbishing a home or office, laying foundations, fixing a roof, making wine or fermenting, buying or setting direction for your bed or setting up a tombstone.

If you don't have a lead weight about your person, the almanac advises against having much to do with water, but this is more to do with buying a boat ticket or drilling a well. It also suggests another day may be best for brewing beer or making soy sauce.

See our dedicated Metal Ox web page for how your sign will fare today. We are busy tomorrow but hope to return on Thursday with our next blog. Until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!

And the cow jumped over the moon……

Black beauty day?

Astrologically there is a lot going on at the moment, as this Metal Ox day, will see a full moon eclipsed tonight, just a week away from the summer solstice – the high point of nature. In trying to find a title that encompassed all these phenomena i arrived at this line from an English nursery rhyme. Well, it mentions moon, and cow is another name for ox.

You may think this is somewhat shallow of us and not up to our normal standard. However when you consider that the origins of this rhyme may refer to Hathor the Ancient Egyptian goddess who personified the principles of love, beauty, fertility and joy, this would seem perfectly appropriate, wouldn’t it?

Normally when eclipses occur the Chinese almanac doesn’t recommend any activities however as most of the effects will affect tomorrow more, it lists the following as suitable pursuits for today; meditation, visiting friends, getting married, having an astrology reading, buy or make clothes, emigrate, open a  business, move earth, fix a roof, go hunting, or set up a tombstone.
